FAQs about special fx screen printing:

Does glow in the dark ink really shine that brightly?

Unfortunately, no 😭 Here’s a better example of what our glow ink looks like in the dark. Don’t be mad! That photo just turned out so rad with the stars!

How long does foil treatment last?

A foil treatment is not something that will last forever on garments, but with gentle aftercare and washing it can last quite a long time. We recommend washing garments with a foil treatment on a delicate cycle, inside out, and to line dry.

will all my pieces turn out the same?

With some specialty prints it’s possible to expect the same consistency you’ve come to expect from us, but with certain special effects prints it’s the uniqueness that adds to the fun. For example, with split fountain screen printing each piece will come out differently, since the blended colors come from the inks blending together as it gets pushed through the screen. That’s part of what makes these techniques so special!

Do special fx treatments cost more than regular screen printing?

Like anything specialty, there’s a reason why these techniques cost a bit more than a regular screen print. The inks & materials often cost more, it’s all around a slower process when printing with specialty techniques since they require unusual setups and care. Only you can determine if the additional cost is worth it to have merch that stands out from the rest.
